Hello!

On June 14th I have decided to bike 100 miles to raise money for Diabetes research. This is my 5th year since I was diagnosed, and I wanted to do something to celebrate. I love to challenge myself, and before I go away to college, I am going to Ride for the Cure. My goal is to raise $1,000 this year. I hope you can help me reach this goal. Each and every day more and more people are being diagnosed with diabetes. We are getting close to a cure. This year, after lots of phone calls and being told "No", I was finally able to get the new insulin pump. This insulin pump shuts off when my blood sugar goes too low in my sleep. I sleep like a rock, so safety feature is so important to me. I am riding because I don't want any more people to be diagnosed with diabetes. Every day we are getting closer to a cure. Please consider contributing.

This blog will be my training log. I hope you enjoy hearing about my training! I will also write about finishing up senior year, getting ready for college, and what it's like to have diabetes. Stay tuned!
